Welcome to Trimmer Elementary School. Our school houses students in grades two through five. Students benefit from curriculum guided by Pennsylvania State Standards, which is delivered by highly qualified teachers and specialists in student-focused, learning environments.
The Trimmer faculty is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of individual students throughout the learning experiences. We strive to maintain an appropriate, yet rigorous, balance between the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of our students. Our teachers present instruction through differentiated methods in an effort to develop the strengths and areas of growth in all students. Both our Everyday Mathematics and our Balance Literacy programs present learning in a spiraling approach. This provides students opportunity to interact with concepts in a variety of methods and with increasing skill mastery.
Our philosophy is a team approach in which parents are encouraged to participate in their child’s learning experiences on a daily basis. These opportunities include scheduled parent activities, homework time, parent/teacher conferences, workshops, PTO sponsored activities and volunteering in our school.
Our PTO is a positive and energetic group of parents and grandparents who meet every other month. Their goals and activities clearly represent and support our journey to academic excellence and partnerships between school and home.
Let me once again welcome you to Trimmer Elementary. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Today is a great day to learn something new!
Ms. Teresa L. Flury
